Recap: Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets vs. Show Low Cougars
After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matches, the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They were dealt a 44-15 defeat at the hands of Show Low. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Blue Ridge has scored all season.
It was another big night for Aubrie Wilson, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for Show Low. Wilson hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Moore, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Blue Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Show Low, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge will take on Snowflake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Show Low, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winslow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Show Low is ranked eighth).
