Baseball Game Preview: Massapequa Chiefs vs. Columbia Blue Devils

The Massapequa Chiefs will venture away from home to take on the Columbia Blue Devils at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Massapequa's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Columbia's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Massapequa wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Meanwhile, Columbia didn't have quite enough to beat Shenendehowa on Friday and fell 3-2. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Plainsmen recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Massapequa, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Massapequa was able to grind out a solid win over Columbia in their previous meeting back in May of 2015, winning 4-1. Will the Chiefs repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
