Holden won the last time they faced Clinton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Cardinals 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Holden's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Clinton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Coming up, Holden will head out to face off against Richmond at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.89 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
