Baseball Game Preview: St. John's Jesuit Titans vs. Eastwood Eagles

The St. John's Jesuit Titans will square off against the Eastwood Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (St. John's Jesuit 3.8, Eastwood 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, St. John's Jesuit didn't have quite enough to beat Defiance and fell 6-4. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Eastwood earned a 7-3 victory over Northwood on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won five in a row.

Jack Sensenig looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kadyn Donnell, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Messinger, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Eastwood's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for St. John's Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
