Soccer Game Preview: Irving vs. Richardson

Irving is 1-9 against Richardson since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Irving Tigers will welcome the Richardson Eagles at 10:00 a.m.

Irving is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Pearce, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Mustangs are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, Richardson waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1. The Eagles' winning goal came courtesy of Maya Thornburg.

Irving's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Richardson, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
