Basketball Recap: Mt. Vernon Skates Past Skyline with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Branson, Mt. Vernon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Skyline Tigers 65-30. That looming 65-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mountaineers yet this season.

Mt. Vernon now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Skyline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Mt. Vernon has already played their next game, a 43-37 victory against Sparta on the 28th. As for Skyline, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
