Volleyball Recap: Andover Has No Trouble Against Coon Rapids

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Benilde-St. Margaret's, Andover was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Coon Rapids Cardinals 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Andover walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-10.

Ali Dehnicke paced Andover's offense, picking up seven kills. Dehnicke got some help from Taegan Groess and her 19 assists. Katelyn Eisinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win got Andover back to even at 9-9. As for Coon Rapids, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Andover will square off against rival Anoka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coon Rapids is set to take on their familiar foe Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
