Basketball Game Preview: North Boone Vikings vs. South Beloit Sobos

North Boone hasn't had much luck against South Beloit recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The North Boone Vikings will be playing at home against the South Beloit Sobos at 6:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

North Boone lost 70-45 to Byron on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Tigers are ranked 210th).

Meanwhile, South Beloit entered their contest against Lutheran on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. South Beloit fell to Lutheran 82-77.

This is the second loss in a row for North Boone and nudges their season record down to 12-17. As for South Beloit, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-5.
