Baseball Recap: Oswego Comes Up Short

Oswego has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.82 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Liverpool Warriors, falling 16-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bucs have suffered since April 15th.

Tom Kirwan was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Oswego is 2-1 when Kirwan posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ed Kuzawski, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Oswego's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Liverpool, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Coming up, Oswego will square off against Central Square at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liverpool, they will challenge West Genesee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
