Recap: West Lafayette Red Devils vs. Warren Central Warriors
The West Lafayette Red Devils entered their tilt with the Warren Central Warriors with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. West Lafayette snuck past Warren Central with a 58-53 win on Saturday. This was payback for West Lafayette, who suffered a 54-42 loss the last time these two teams met.
West Lafayette was led to victory by Sarah Werth and Adrianne Tolen. Werth scored 19 points, while Tolen scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The contest was Tolen's 17th in a row with at least ten points. Molly Andrew was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
West Lafayette's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Warren Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Lafayette will take on Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Greensburg at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th.
