Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas vs. Pope John Paul II

After a disappointing 7 points in the game before, St. Thomas Aquinas made sure to put some points up on the board against Pope John Paul II on Friday. Everything came up roses for St. Thomas Aquinas against Pope John Paul II as the team secured a 43-7 victory. St. Thomas Aquinas have a history of success against Pope John Paul II, winning their last head-to-head 36-26.

After a totally unproductive first quarter, the St. Thomas Aquinas offense stepped up its game and put 17 points on the board in the second quarter. Pope John Paul II put up 7, so the score was 17-7 at the half. The St. Thomas Aquinas defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The win got St. Thomas Aquinas back to even at 2-2. The loss dropped Pope John Paul II's record to 3-2.

Next week St. Thomas Aquinas take on Independence at 7:00 PM. St. Thomas Aquinas will be strutting in after a win while Independence will be stumbling in from a defeat. As for Pope John Paul II, they will face off against St. Helena College and Career Academy.
