After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mica Mountain, Sahuarita was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Rio Rico Hawks 42-14. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mustangs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Sahuarita didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gary Acosta Jr and Martin Atondo.

Although Rio Rico took the loss, they still got scores from Abiel Yanez and Aldo Santos.

Sahuarita's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Rio Rico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
