Basketball Recap: East Rowan Comes Up Short

East Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-31 loss at the hands of the Robinson Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 580th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 89th).

Robinson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roger Walton, who made all 5 shots he took for 14 points. The dominant performance gave Walton a new career-high in points. Jamell Reid was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points.

East Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Robinson, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither East Rowan nor Robinson have any future games scheduled.
