The Jurupa Valley Jaguars will head out to take on the Don Lugo Conquistadores at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Jurupa Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Jurupa Valley came up short against La Sierra and fell 6-1. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jurupa Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Nicholas Higgins also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Don Lugo nor Chino made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Conquistadores came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Don Lugo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Jurupa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-1.
