Rabun Gap-Nacoochee waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Asheville School (Independent) Blues with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blues, too.

While Rabun Gap-Nacoochee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-20.

Danni Ledford paced Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ledford got some help from Riese Kirkland and her 35 assists. Kirkland also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Carson Hill, racking up five apiece.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Asheville School (Independent), their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will challenge Charlotte Latin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Asheville School (Independent), they will face off against Carolina Day at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
