            The Vestavia Hills Rebels will head out to  square off against the Hoover Buccaneers  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Vestavia Hills will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
Vestavia Hills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Alabama's top teams: Spain Park, who was ranked sixth  at the time (Vestavia Hills was ranked first). The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  21-18  victory over the Jaguars  on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Rebels have posted  since September 9th.

 Julia Rose produced another solid  effort throwing for 238 yards and three  TDs. What's more,  she racked up 12  rushing yards, the most she's  had  over her last five  matchups.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Vestavia Hills' defense and their five sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Gabby LeMaster. Another thorn in Spain Park's side was  Kate Fitzpatrick, who made 16 total tackles.
 Hoover never got on the board in their matchup back in September, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mountain Brook on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp  36-14 victory. Considering the Buccaneers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Hoover's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Vestavia Hills, their record now sits at 19-1.
 Everything went Vestavia Hills' way against Hoover when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, as Vestavia Hills made off with  a  28-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
