 There's no place like home for the Shaw Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Friday. Everything went their way against Cairo on Monday as Shaw made off with a  74-52 victory. Given Shaw's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 214th, while Cairo is ranked 432nd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Shaw got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Tiara Tucker out in front who  scored 24 points along with five  steals and two  blocks. It was the first time this season that  Tucker  posted two or more  blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of  Quishyi Walcott, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 11  steals.
 Despite the loss, Cairo still got an impressive performance from   Makhia Evers, who  dropped  a double-double on 25 points and 18  rebounds. It was the first time this season that  Evers  scored 15 or more points.  Kaylah Paytee was another key contributor,  scoring six points along with nine  rebounds and two  steals.
 Even though they lost, Cairo  were working as a unit and  finished the game with 12  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Shaw pushed their record up to 14-11 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Cairo, they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-22.
 Shaw will head out on the road to  square off against  Hardaway at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Hardaway will roll in looking for their  19th straight  victory, something Shaw surely won't give up without a fight. Cairo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
