Fulton hit Polo with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Marcos lost 11-1 to the Steamers.
Polo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Zeigler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Polo's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Polo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ashton-Franklin Center has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. It's a different story for Polo, though, as they've only averaged .330. Will they be able to contain Ashton-Franklin Center's hitters?
Ashton-Franklin Center came up short against Polo in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
