Basketball Recap: Clay Comes Up Short

Clay lost against Anthony Wayne back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clay Eagles fell 58-46 to the Anthony Wayne Generals. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Generals are ranked 119th).

This is the second loss in a row for Clay and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Anthony Wayne, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Clay has already played their next game (against Oak Harbor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Anthony Wayne will face off against Columbian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
