Baseball Recap: Sand Rock Takes a Loss

Sand Rock came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-1 to the Pleasant Valley Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 19-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Sand Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

While Sand Rock had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
