Basketball Recap: Covenant C Takes a Loss

Covenant C extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were outmatched by the Fayetteville O Outliers and fell 80-34. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Outliers from their previous meeting back in February.

As for Fayetteville O, the win got them back to even at 2-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

Fayetteville O found their leader in sophomore Anthony Harris, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Samuel Williams was another key player, shooting 45% from the field on his way to 22 points and four steals.

Covenant C will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oak City Prep at 5:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Fayetteville O, they and DASH will face off at 7:15 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Outliers will need to watch out since the United have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
