Basketball Recap: South Bend Adams Takes a Loss

South Bend Adams suffered their biggest loss since January 11th on Thursday. They took a blow against the Penn Kingsmen, falling 76-35. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Kingsmen are ranked 58th).

Penn got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Macy Little out in front who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Little has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessa Troy, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 12 points.

South Bend Adams has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Penn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

South Bend Adams will host Laporte at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Bend Adams is facing Laporte at the right time seeing as Laporte is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. Penn will take on Goshen in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
