It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Robertson had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the East Mountain Timberwolves. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Timberwolves back in March, they had to take a 11-3 defeat.

Diego Maez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brian Lucero, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Robertson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for East Mountain, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-8.

As of now, neither Robertson nor the Timberwolves have any future games scheduled.
