Soccer Game Preview: Danville vs. Brewer

The Danville Hawks will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Brewer Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Danville's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Monday. Everything went their way against East Lawrence as Danville made off with a 10-0 win. Josie Bailey was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Brewer took on Pennington in their season opener and it was just the start the team was looking for. Brewer blew past Pennington 10-2 on Tuesday. With the Patriots ahead 4-1 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Danville beat Brewer by a goal in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 2-1. Will Danville repeat their success, or does Brewer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
