Softball Recap: Narbonne Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Narbonne can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wilson Mules by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Gauchos have suffered since April 8, 2024.

Elyse Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one triple, and two RBI. Trinity Johnson was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Narbonne's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Wilson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

Narbonne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilson, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-1 loss against King/Drew on the 23rd.
