Basketball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

On Friday, 2025 welcomed the Carlisle Indians with a 57-37 loss courtesy of the Trinity Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1596th, while the Tigers are ranked 602nd).

Carlisle dropped their record down to 3-18 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Trinity, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Carlisle will be playing at home against Alto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity, they will head out on the road to take on Jasper at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
