Volleyball Recap: Blue Ridge Early College Takes a Loss

After flying high against Shining Rock Classical Academy on Monday, Blue Ridge Early College came back down to earth. The Bobcats came up short against the Cherokee Braves on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12, 25-7.

Joscelyn Stamper had an outrageously good game for Cherokee as she had 15 kills, six digs, three aces, and two blocks. Stamper has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 55 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Moore, who had nine assists and five aces.

Blue Ridge Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cherokee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Blue Ridge Early College wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hiwassee Dam on the 2nd. As for Cherokee, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Rosman on the 2nd.
