Baseball Recap: Mendon Unity Finds Home Field Redemption Against Camp Point Central

There's no place like home for Mendon Unity, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Camp Point Central Panthers on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Avery Frese was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
