Basketball Recap: Ovilla Christian Eagles vs. Nazarene Christian Academy Lions
In what's become a running theme this season, the Ovilla Christian Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Nazarene Christian Academy 56-34. Winning may never get old, but Ovilla Christian sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
It was another big night for Sophie Henry, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 19 rebounds. Henry is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Hensley, who scored ten points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Nazarene Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dakota Becker. Despite the final result, she scored 28 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Becker has scored all season.
Ovilla Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 7-16 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
