Wilmington has gone a perfect 3-0 against St. Anne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Neither Wilmington nor St. Anne posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

It was a proper cat-fight when Wilmington took on Beecher on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for St. Anne's offense. They came up short against Donovan last Thursday, falling 11-0. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Wilmington's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for St. Anne, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Wilmington took their win against St. Anne in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
