Volleyball Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. Del Oro Golden Eagles

The Whitney Wildcats will challenge the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Whitney is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Grant as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

While Whitney won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Del Oro made easy work of Antelope on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Del Oro never let Antelope on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-22.

Whitney's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-19. As for Del Oro, their win bumped their record up to 21-13.

Whitney came up short against Del Oro in their previous meeting back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
