Softball Recap: Foreman Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Foreman finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 18-1 to the Horatio Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Gator Arkansas in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

Foreman's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Horatio, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Foreman will venture away from home to square off against Ouachita at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.81 runs per game on average), something the Gator Arkansas will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Horatio, they have already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Carlisle on the 15th.
