Basketball Recap: Pioneer Charter School of Science II Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Pioneer Charter School of Science II kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 54-48 to Quincy Upper.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mark Simon Kafeero, who posted 13 points. Rayford Adam was another key player, putting up ten points.

Pioneer Charter School of Science II will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Notre Dame Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026. Quincy Upper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
