Basketball Recap: Northfield Takes a Loss

Northfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-36 loss at the hands of the Twinfield Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Trojans are ranked 12th).

Northfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Twinfield, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

Coming up, Northfield will take on Rivendell Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Twinfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellows Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Twinfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Bellows Free Academy likes a good challenge.
