Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Wright City

Wright City won the last time they faced Louisiana and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 27-14 win over the Bulldogs. The Wildcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wright City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayton Humphreys, who threw for 146 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Nathan Turner was in the mix as well, providing the Wildcats with two scores.

The victory (which was Wright City's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Louisiana, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wright City is set to square off against their familiar foe Mark Twain at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. Meanwhile, Louisiana will take on rival Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
