Basketball Recap: Jadah Rembert's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcdonough over Stockbridge

McDonough lost against Stockbridge back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The McDonough Warhawks took a 58-44 bruising from the Stockbridge Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Tigers are ranked 69th).

Several Warhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadah Rembert, who posted 17 points. The matchup was Rembert's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amiyah Dedrick, who earned 12 points.

It was another big night for Kahli Ingram, who scored 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals for Stockbridge. Ingram has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Fulks, who had ten points and three steals.

McDonough has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Stockbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

McDonough didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-26 loss against Jones County on the 1st. Stockbridge has also already played their next game, a 53-43 win against Ola on the 3rd.
