Volleyball Recap: Pewaukee Takes a Loss

Pewaukee was the 3-0 winner over Dominican when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

David Strebe paced Pewaukee's offense, picking up 13 kills. Strebe got some help from Ethan Dalangin and his 24 assists. Strebe was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Pewaukee's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Dominican, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Pewaukee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Cedarburg on the 27th. As for Dominican, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Sun Prairie United on the 27th.
