Carrollton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They escaped with a win against the Holden Eagles by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Eagles are ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carrollton pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Holden, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
