Volleyball Recap: Clemente Comes Up Short

Clemente was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Farragut Admirals. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Admirals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Clemente sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-10, 26-28, 25-21.

Clemente's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Farragut, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clemente is set to challenge their familiar foe Spry Community Links at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Farragut will square off against rival Dunbar at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
