Football Recap: Maxwell Wildcats vs. Sutherland Sailors
Maxwell gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 90-6 win over the Sutherland Sailors at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.
Maxwell found their leader in underclassman Griffin Flock, who rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries.
Maxwell's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. Flock led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Maxwell will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Hitchcock County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sutherland, they will take on St. Patrick's on Friday.
