Mission accomplished for No. 1 Chino Hills; U-D Jesuit, New Albany nail down state titles in the Upper Midwest.

MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Boys Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard

1. (No. 1 last week) Chino Hills (Calif.), 35-0
Formalities can wait until next week following the conclusion of Dick's Sporting Goods High School Nationals, but the Huskies will finish No. 1 and stir the ‘best ever' debate for years to come. Chino Hills capped its perfect campaign Saturday with a 70-50 win over De La Salle (Concord) in California's Open Division state championship game.

2. (2) Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), 42-1
With Chino Hills out of the picture, the biggest intrigue at Dick's Nationals could be a rematch between Oak Hill Academy and No. 3 Montverde Academy. The Warriors open Thursday against unranked Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah).

3. (3) Montverde Academy (Fla.), 25-1
Meets No. 9 Providence Day in the quarterfinals at Dick's Nationals. Montverde Academy has reached the final in the event five of the last six years and has won the last three.

4. (4) St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.), 32-0
Season complete. Non-Public B state champions and NJSIAA Tournament of Champions winner.



5. (5) U-D Jesuit (Detroit, Mich.), 28-0
Michigan State-bound point guard Cassius Winston scored 31 points and dished out nine assists Saturday as the Cubs beat North Farmington (Farmington Hills) 69-49 for Michigan's Class A state title. Despite a history that goes back to 1877, this was U-D Jesuit's first basketball state crown.

6. (6) Stevens Point (Wis.), 28-0
Season complete. Division 1 state champions.

7. (7) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), 28-1
Looking for their first Dick's Nationals crown since 2012, the Pilots open Thursday against Georgia AAAAA state champ Miller Grove (Lithonia).

8. (8) St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.), 34-1
In perhaps the most intriguing opening round matchup at Dick's Nationals, the Gray Bees face No. 10 La Lumiere on Thursday.

9. (9) Providence Day (Charlotte, N.C.), 30-3
The NCISAA Class 3A champs will have an opportunity to shock the world Thursday at Dick's Nationals against three-time defending champ No. 3 Montverde Academy.

10. (10) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.), 25-3
The Lakers have won 11 in a row entering Dick's Nationals and a Thursday game with No. 8 St. Benedict's Prep.



11. (11) Greenforest (Decatur, Ga.), 30-2
Season complete. Georgia Class A state champions.

12. (12) H.D. Woodson (Washington, D.C.), 33-0
Season complete. DCIAA (league) and DCSAA (city) champions.

13. (13) DeSoto (Texas), 36-2
Season complete. Class 6A state champions.

14. (14) Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.), 31-1
Season complete. Class AAAA state champions.

15. (15) Atascocita (Humble, Texas), 38-1
Season complete. Class 6A state runner-up.

16. (16) DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), 32-5

The Romeo Langford era of Indiana high school basketball is officially underway. After scoring 46 in the state semifinals, the sophomore guard went for 28 more in the Class 4A championship game – helping New Albany beat McCutcheon (Lafayette) 62-59.

22. (21) Lancaster (Texas), 36-2
Season complete. Class 5A state champions.



23. (22) Overland (Aurora, Colo.), 25-3
Season complete. Class 5A state champions.

24. (23) Bingham (South Jordan, Utah), 24-2
Season complete. Class 4A state champions.
