South Medford has gone 8-2 against North Medford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. It'll be Northside v. Southside when the South Medford Panthers and the North Medford Black Tornado meet at 6:45 p.m. South Medford will be strutting in after a win while North Medford will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, South Medford escaped with a win against Willamette by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, North Medford unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Eugene.

South Medford will need focus on slowing down Easton Curtis, one of several North Medford players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 16 points. Curtis' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keenan Stewart, who scored 13 points.

South Medford's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for North Medford, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.

South Medford came up short against North Medford when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 58-52. Can South Medford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
