Bishop Shanahan moved up to 244 from 291 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ches-Mont - National. The Eagles were able to make move up by defeating East 27-0.
Downingtown East extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Downingtown West, 35-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Cougars.
Downingtown East's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kyle Lauletta has thrown for 1748 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Chris Beals has 36 catches for 621 yards. Ryley Angeline leads the league in rushing with 606 yards.
A big matchup in Ches-Mont - National this week will be when the Whippets take on Coatesville. As it stands, Downingtown West is in third, while the Red Raiders are in fourth.
