Football Game Preview: Battle Spartans vs. Troy-Buchanan Trojans + Official Tickets

The Battle Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Troy-Buchanan Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Battle has given up an average of 51.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Battle is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jefferson City on Friday. Even if the Spartans couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Troy-Buchanan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past Howell North to the tune of 73-6 on Friday. Considering the Trojans have won five contests by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Troy-Buchanan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.2 points over those games. As for Battle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
