Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

Livingston typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Lathrop proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Wolves last Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 25-14.

Lathrop was led to victory by Elias Medel and Mario Luna. Medel had nine digs and four aces, while Luna had 31 assists. Luna is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good server: Lathrop was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Livingston only served one ace.

Lathrop has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Livingston, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 25-4.

Lathrop didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Central Valley on the 4th. As for Livingston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on the 3rd.
