Alamosa hasn't had much luck against Salida recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Mean Moose will look to defend their home pitch against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Alamosa is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.

Alamosa is headed into the matchup without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Montezuma-Cortez could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Alamosa's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Florence kept up with Salida until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Huskies. The victory continues a trend for Salida in their matchups with Florence: they've now won nine in a row.

Alamosa's draw gives them a new season record of 7-0-1. As for Salida, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-2.
