Softball Recap: Saltillo Tigers vs. Tupelo Golden Wave

Saltillo can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past the Tupelo Golden Wave 13-1. Winning may never get old, but Saltillo sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

A.K. Willingham was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Willingham has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Willingham was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Grace Padgett` was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Frederick, who went 1-for-2 with a home run.
