Softball Recap: Lake Buena Vista Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wekiva last Thursday, Lake Buena Vista came back down to earth. The Vipers came up short against the West Orange Warriors on Monday, falling 14-2. The Vipers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lake Buena Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayana Jovet, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Lake Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for West Orange, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10.

Looking ahead, Lake Buena Vista will take on Wildwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.5 runs per game on average), something the Vipers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Orange, they will face off against Foundation Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
