Basketball Recap: East Aurora Sets Scoring Season-High Against Nardin Academy

East Aurora lost against Nardin Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Aurora Blue Devils fell just short of the Nardin Academy Gators by a score of 56-53. One positive for the Blue Devils, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Nardin Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Fiona Cusack led the charge by going 7 of 16 on her way to 19 points and five assists. Cusack is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Olivia Braun, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

East Aurora is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. As for Nardin Academy, they moved to 6-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

East Aurora will head out on the road to challenge Tonawanda at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Nardin Academy, they will face off against Mount St. Mary Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
