Softball Game Preview: Ramsey Rams vs. Mahwah Thunderbirds

Ramsey is 8-2 against Mahwah since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Thunderbirds at 4:15 p.m. One thing working in Ramsey's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matches.

Ramsey's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Lakeland Regional. Considering the Rams have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Mahwah came up short against Pascack Valley on Wednesday, falling 10-3. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ramsey's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mahwah, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Everything went Ramsey's way against Mahwah when the teams last played on April 4th, as Ramsey made off with a 13-0 win. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Thunderbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
